About Me

Hi, I’m Nadia and I’m an artisan quilter, crafter and upholsterer. I use top quality fabrics to create beautiful designs; my dream is making bespoke quilts using patterns and colours of the customer’s choice.

I work from my studio in Great Bookham and have an ever growing fabric stash, my trusty sewing machines and overlocker, multiple rotary cutters and several well used pin cushions and quilters clips to help with my designs.  I’m very lucky and have a brand new Handi Quilter Amara (christened Peggy) in my studio enabling me to create beautiful patterns and designs on my quilts.

Working with Peggy I also quilt fabrics to make bags and purses of all types: book, craft, baby, tote, shopping and many more.  I also use Peggy to quilt the kitchen accessories I make such as oven gloves, heat mats and range chef’s pads.

Each and every item I make is made to be enjoyed, cherished and used time and time again; I take great pleasure and pride in handmaking everything. I source exceptional quality fabrics from around the world and all fabric is prewashed with care.

The footstool frames are made by my wonderful partner, we’ll call him ‘Mr Handmade’, and I upholster them.  Footstools are available in many, many sizes and can be covered in a fabric you have or we can work together to source the perfect colour match, style or design of fabric.

I have a fondness for chairs and normally have a several that I’m working on; I take them back to wood and reupholster completely using traditional or modern upholstery methods; whichever best suits the individual chair and its age.   All chairs will be featured on this site and will available for sale at my Etsy shop when available; most upholstery projects are commissions.

Please contact me to discuss any projects or ideas.
